green turning brown
I've noticed that a lot of the descriptions I write for the videos I make seem to include some statement about how I'd discovered some long lost footage and thought it was pretty and that I better make something with it. This one is no different! I think that I do a lot of filming with no actual outcome in mind. Then once I'm done, I have no use for the footage so I file it away, forget about it, and then go shoot other things (again, just shooting, no reason).
This footage made me feel nostalgic for sunny autumn mornings.

Fields and flowers
Mt Arapiles is a mecca for rock climbers. But on this day I felt sleepy, so instead of climbing I walked around taking photos.

Try being me
Remember back when I had a little project fail? Well I'd still taken some footage that day that I didn't plan to make anything with but thought this might be fun, I like it! :-)

High key colour play
I am really wishing that I had more time and space in my head to play with and practise making more videos. There are so many things that I want to try. One of the things I'd really like to experiment with is colour. I've always been attracted to high key colour. I learned this after visiting NGV with my sister one time. We like to go from room to room and choose a favourite painting and then discuss. I'm always a big fan of Pissarro city and snowscapes in high key!
Another favourite artist who uses a lot of high key colour is Fuco Ueda.
Isn't she wonderful? So there you have it, my colour play inspiration for today. Now all I need is some time to put together some fun little projects!

Janie Taylor for ChloƩ
The Prima Ballerina Models the Fashion House’s Ethereal Collection
Janie Taylor for ChloƩ on Nowness.com.
I just watched this and had to post it, it's beautiful. It's also really nice to see Steadicam being used for good. Far too many videographers use it for evil, and I've been really put off it's use lately and making vows to never use one. But it's use here is really engaging and creates a unique experience, you feel like you're dancing with them. So, maybe I'll start saving up for one of these babies.
